red mail Fry
I am enquiring about the Fry and Maddock families who lived in Creech St. Michael for several generations. The Fry family were all stonemasons and they lived in Creech Heathfield. There are 3 brothers Edwin, Walter and William Fry, all stonemasons living there until the early 1900's. 4 children were born to William - Clifford, Mabel, George and Daisy - my grandmother was Mabel, born in 1880. I wonder if anyone knows what happened to the other members of the Fry families after 1901.

John Dyer (ca. 1717-1808, in Creech by 1749) appears to be the forefather of most of the Dyers of Creech (although he had a brother Henry; neither was actually from Creech). John's sons Henry (married Elizabeth Fowler of Cricket St Thomas), John (married Sarah Ballam of North Petherton), and Thomas (married Sarah Manning of Creech) each had a large family. I should be very interested to hear from anyone working on any members of these families, and to pool information.
