red mail TWO SISTERS
I am looking for information on the families of the two sisters of my grandmother Kate Caroline Amos, nee Shoebridge. Alice born 1888? and Lily born 1890 in Tunbridge Wells to John and Mary Ann. They both married probably between 1905 and 1915, Alice to Jim, but do not know the name of Lily's husband other than the surname Smith. Both married sisters moved to Brislington in Bristol at some point after they were married. Alice and her husband ran the Post Office at the bottom of Brislington Hill. Lily had three children Eric, who was killed in WWII, Rita who eventually lived in Sydenham, London, and Geoff who emigrated to Australia after the War. Geoff settled in Smithfield, Sydney and married Barbara. They had two daughters, Anthea and Jennifer.
