red mail Walkers near Alveley
I'm trying to connect with the Walker family. Edward Walker (butcher/farmer) is gggrandfather, married to Catherine Elcock. They had several children, one of whom was Frank Edward Walker. They had farms in the area, HillHouse and HayFarm. Frank served in WWI, and then married Lucy Sheldon in 1919. They emigrated to Canada in 1927. Contact with UK relatives has been lost, but would love to re-kindle. Frank and Lucy may have been disowned/disinherited, their having left England for 'the colonies'. Any connection with Welch Fusilliers/Welsh Regiment of WWI would also be of help. Frank served with either or both, and we think it may have been in the Balkans/Dardanelles. His military records seem to have been lost in the WWII London bombings. If you know a WALKER pass this on, please. It might provide missing puzzle pieces. Thanks, Monica from Canada
