Her father was Andrew Turnbull married to Helen Douglas. Is there any connection or resource that would allow us to research more of this part of our family?

I am trying to find any information on Major General John Dun of Shawpark Selkirkshire, Scotland. He had one child Jane Henrietta Dun who was born in East India 1818 can find no record of mothers name. She married Henry Dillon Boylan can find no record of marriage. John married Dorothea Henderson in 1832 in Selkirk, I can find no record of John marrying before. John was an officer in the Bengal Army for the East Indian Company. If any one has any more information that would be great.

Their son James married Ann Blaikie and their son James married Barbara Milne (or Mill). I have further children down to myself plus siblings if anyone would like details please contact me. Also, if anyone can get me further details from the Haddintonshire parish records in the 18th century or photos of gravestones or other records I'd be very grateful.
