I am looking for the parents of my 5xGGfather Donald Skinner, born Tarbat c.1791 who married Catharine Skinner from Tain. I know that he was a member of the 92nd Regiment of Foot in 1820 when his son Hugh Skinner was born. According to his death certificate his father was a crofter also named Donald Skinner and his mother's maiden surname was Stuart. Any help would be much appreciated to stop my head hitting this brick wall!!!
