LEWIS - (Glascwm, Glasgwm - Radnorshire)
I am researching the LEWIS family OF Glascwm. William Lewis was born 'at sea' but settled in Glascwm as a shoemaker. He married Esther Ann Davies in either 1827 - so says Family Search, or 1819 - so says Ancestry. But in 1819 William would only have been aged 12. Things are complicated because William's father was also William and also a shoemaker, so I may have smudged the generations. They had children Ester Ann who married William Kedward, William, Mary, my GG Grandmother who married James BOWLES, Thomas, Elizabeth and Dorothy who married Joseph ROWLANDS AND George JENKINS. I think the younger children may have migrated to Pennsylvania. Some Ancestry trees say William Lewis born about 1807 died there. By this time he was married to Eliza Price. I am hoping US death certificates give the place of birth, but I cannot find it. Any info at all would be much appreciated. Would anyone be able to confirm the marriage date foe me?

Anne's father was shown as James Griffith and his occupation as a miller. Samuel and Annie had three sons who with Annie returned to Kinnerton in the 20's, living in Mill Pound Cottage and going to school, possibly Evenjob. The family excludingMurial returned to Birmingham in 1932. Any held on the Griffiths Family would be appreciated. I have since posting the above message found references to what I believe is Annie's family in both the 1881 & 1901 Census's. the 1901 Census shows a James & Mary Griffiths residing at Kinnerton Common with children Annie, Emily, Lily and Osmond. The 1881 Census recorded James and Mary with children Emily, William, John, Osmond and Agnes living also at the Common, Kinnerton. I know that Annies daughter Muriel was raised by William, "Uncle Bill", Griffiths and Mill Pond Cottage in Kinnerton and that my Father Emrys,"Don" Edward Huband also lived in Kinnerton for a short period before WW11. Any information welcome on either th...
