red mail Robertson - (Meigle - Perthshire)
I am looking for information about Elizabeth Robertson who married my great grandfather Francis William (or William Francis) Hardie in Meigle on 13th February 1866. I am not certain that she was born in the village but must have lived in the vicinity. Her father was Charles Robertson who was dead before 1866 and her mother was Agnes Robertson. Elizabeth was in domestic service in Edinburgh before her marriage but I don't know when or why she left the village. After her marriage she lived with my great grandfather in Haddington where she died in 1872. They had one daughter and one son. It is possible that both she and my great grandfather were buried in Meigle. My great grandfather subsequently remarried. I am descended from his second wife but am still interested in tracing this part of his life story. Any information would be most welcome
