red mail Peter James Bennett a Fleisher of Methven Street ?
The son of Peter James Bennett - Fleisher of Perth joined the 93rd Regt Feb 1827, he was another Peter James Bennett born Jun 1808 - Perth. Have identified four possible siblings - Robert born May 1797, William born Nov 1802, sisters Christian born Aug 1805, Ann born 1815 all at Perth. On returning to Scotland, in about 1840 he was garrisoned at one of the coastal forts to the east of Dundee. He married Christina Campbell (born Crieff Feb 1821) at Panbride on 21st Dec 1841. She at the time was a servant to Capt John Maxwell who commanded the coastguards at Panbride. Have been able to research the Campbell's back a further generation - but not the Bennett's. We think Peter James Bennett the older was married to Christian Fowels or Fowlis? Help needed to confirm this as have found several Peter Bennett's born around 1750 - 60 around Perth.

My Great Great Grandfather David Morison was born in Perth Scotland on the 10th February 1814. There is an entry in a Family Bible in his son's hand mentioning this date and place. There is the possibility that it was Janet, as his second daughter who died young was so named. James is buried at St Mungo's in Glasgow. The burial site cannot be found today. David was married to Janet Niven in Glasgow on 18 September 1835. Janet was born in Glasgow. Her Parent's were CharlesNiven and Mary McCallum.
