My ancestor James Lewis (the third son of Thomas Lewis) emigrated to South Australia on the brig "Rapid" in 1838. Thomas was one of the Lewis Brothers, clock manufacturers, in St David's, Pembrokeshire. Any information about James Lewis, Thomas Lewis and their ancestors, would be most welcomed.

Seeking ancestors of William Davies born c1862 (pembroke St Davids), married to Esther ann (jones) born c1864 (pembroke St Davids). On 1901 census they are living at Carfai, Cathedral Close (St Davids)and have a daughter Sarah Ann Davies born 17th January 1901. William is listed as a general labourer. On the 1911 census he is not listed at home with wife Esther 42, daughters Jessie 13, Sarah Ann 10, Martha 7, Esther Mary 6 months and son William Henry 5. but I think I have found him as mate on the fishing vessel Cambria out of Neyland Pembs. The master is Henry Beer. He was later known to live in Solva, at least into his 80's. Anyone who may recognise these names please post a message or contact me. Thanks.

Is there anyone who is connected with 'The Grove Hotel' at the Cross, St.Davids? The 'Williams' family ran it through most of the 1800s, and into the 1900s. Does anyone have a connection with this family, would love to hear from you.

I'm looking for information about a William Parry born in St. Davids, Pembrokeshire around 1816. He was married to Annie Morgan and had a daughter named Mary Ann. Our family legend says he was a prestigious captain of a sailing ship and there was a to-do when his daughter married Thomas Griffiths against the family wishes. Her father was James Edward Rees b.1874 Nine wells,Solva Nr St.davids, Pembrokeshire married in Cardiff 1902 Margaret James b.1875 in Aberdare,lived in Builth.James Edward Rees father was James Rees b.1840 St.Davids and his mother was Mary nee Phillips, they were married 1864 St.Davids.
