red mail John TAYLOR and Mary DAVIES
I am looking for death information for John TAYLOR, who died between 1814 and 1841. His wife, Mary DAVIES was a widow when she died at Haverfordwest in 1841. They married in Slebech on 24 June 1804. Their last child was born in 1814.
DAVIES - BLAKE - CAMPBELL
On 12 Sept 1962, widow Irene Mildred BLAKE, maiden name CAMPBELL and formerly NUTT, married William Arthur DAVIES, a divorced builder. He was 56, address, Greenfields, 25 Cardigan Road; she was 57, a shop proprietress, of 28 Old Bridge. She was formerly a Londoner. William's father was Arthur DAVIES, ostler - deceased. Irene's was James Neil CAMPBELL, aviator and scenic artist, deceased. The marriage took place at the Register Office and the witnesses were M BLAKE and J A ROGERS. I believe William Arthur died in 1973 at Haverfordwest, and Irene in 1988. I don't know how Irene and William met and should be interested in any information at all on these people.
red mail Mary Ann Harries
Mary Ann HARRIES b.1845 daughter of William Harries and Elizabeth LLEWHELLIN m.1845 in Haverfordwest, but I can then find no trace of them after 1845. Mary Ann married a Davies (possibly not in Pembrokeshire by then) and was widowed, she then married John WILLIAMS (b.1845 in Myddfai, Carms) -the key ancestor in our tree - and lived in Newport, Monmouthshire with their 7 children until her death in 1906. John Williams was a police officer at the time of their marriage and went on to become a Police Inspector in Newport. Any help with the Harries or the Llewhellin families would be welcome. Spellings will all change over time too.
Benjamin Davies of Uzmaston and Haverfordwest, and Gibbon family of Havefordwest
I'm looking for information about my great great great grandfather Benjamin Davies. He was born in Uzmaston in about 1778. He was a watchmaker and jeweller by trade, probably in Haverfordwest to begin with. His father Owen Davies was also a watchmaker. Benjamin had sons, William Ayleway Davies, born 1812, and Richard Gibbon Davies, born about 1815, and in 1822 the family moved to Carmarthen where Benjamin continued his jewellery and watchmaking business, later with a branch in Cardigan run by son William. Benjamin died in Carmarthen on 30 March 1845. His sons continued the business in Carmarthen after his death. Benjamin married Mary Gibbon in Uzmaston in 1808. She may have been a relative of Richard Gibbon, a former High Sheriff of Haverfordwest. She died in 1827 in Carmarthen. In January 1845 Benjamin married Mary Ann Powell in Carmarthen.

red mail SINNETT OR SYNNOTT
Hi I am looking for any member of the Sinnett family no matter how it is spelt who has a family history of living in Haverfordwest. I can actually trace my family beginnings to Wexford Ireland but I know that the original Sinnetts in Ireland came over with Strongbow from Wales and I am fairly certain it was from Haverfordwest in Wales. I think they may have followed a family with the surname Roche or de Rupe from "Roos" Wales. Is there any Sinnetts out there who have done some family history research of their family background going back to the 1100s?

red mail Baels
My grandfather, Albert Rees, possibly born Bridgend, Glamorgan, apparently used to say his mother or grandmother was a Baels (Flemish), and came from Pembs.I assumed this was an old immigrant family as I believe there were a number of Flemish people who came to Pembs a long time ago and formed a distinct separate section of the population to the indigenous Welsh. However,I have only been able to discover one family called Baels, and they came to live in London in the mid to late 1800's. 1 or 2 Baels brothers, both with initial J, appeared to have married in Cockermouth, Cumbria, in 1915, and a male J Baels was born in Haverfordwest in 1916, but that date is too late for me, but might lead to a connection i am looking for. However, i cannot find a female Baels of the correct date to tie in, and there do not appear to be any Baels around now, unless they have changed the spelling, or the name died out if only daughters were born, and subsequently married. My mother was named Marie (though known by her 2nd name, Jean) which I am assuming is after the lady in question as I know it had a French or more likely Belgian, connotation. Anyone got any ideas to further my research please, eg about the Flemish immigrants to Pembs or other suggestions? Thanks.

Susannah Lewis
I am seeking information regarding Susannah who was my husband's great grandmother. We believe her parents were Philip Lewis and Elizabeth Schofield and that she was born in Stepaside, Pembrokeshire. However, census information indicates Tenby or Haverfordwest - which were possibly registration districts. She was born round about 1857 - I have her death certificate which indicates she died on 5th October 1932 aged 75 years. She died in Treforest, Pontypridd. We believe she met her husband Thomas Jenkins in Newport, when she worked in a public house - The Kings Arms. Thomas Jenkins was a Tin Plate Worker based in Treforest Tin Plate Works but often worked at a plant in or near Newport. We have been told that they married in St. Woolas Cathedral, Newport - we are not sure when, but their first daughter was born in September 1887 in Risca. If anyone has information about Susannah, her parents, Thomas Jenkins, the Kings Arms, the Tin Plate Works, I would be most grateful to hear from you.
