Pembroke Dock to Canada
My Grandmother's brother John H Mathias was born in Ferry Lane Pembroke Dock in 1885 .His fathers name was Thomas Mathias a dockyard worker, and his mother was Rebecca (nee Morgan) John emigrated to Ontario in Canada as a young man in abt 1901. I have a letter which shows he became a painter/decorator and lived in Oakville Ontario. Anyone with any information on John (Jack) Mathias ?, I would love to hear from you.

Looking for the marriage of Patrick Scully and Mary Booth. Patrick was in the 25th Regiment and in 1858 gave his address on his first child's birth certificate as Park Street, Pembroke Dock. To date I have been unable to find a marriage in the Civil Index. At that time his wife was at most 21 years old so the marriage must be in the period 1853 to say 1860. Has anyone got any ideas on how I might proceed?
Knapp Family - Pater/Pembroke Dock
William Knapp and wife Ellen (née Murphy). I'm particularly interested in their second child, son Thomas Valentine Knapp, born Pater/Pembroke Dock in abt 1836. Thomas joined the Royal Marine Light Infantry as (I believe) a drummer boy, later transferring to the Royal Marine Artillery and seeing extensive active overseas service. He died in 1924 in Cornwall. Thomas was my Great-great Uncle. Any information on the Knapps, in Pater or elsewhere, would be very welcome. Other children include Elizabeth (b: abt 1833 Est Stonehouse), Ellen (b:8 Aug 1829, Okehampton; my Great Grandmother) and Mary A(nn?) (b: 1845, East Stonehouse).

Researching Thomas Upton, born 1817 in Lawrenny, lived in King Street, Pembroke Dock and was a cordwainer (leather worker). His stepson Charles Philpin (or Philper) also a shoemaker.

Interested in Charles Ephraim BUNSELL and family. Charles was living with his son William in Pembroke Dock in early 1900s. I am particularly interested in Charles' daughter Elizabeth who married Thomas Frederick DOBBIN in Deptford.

WILLIAM JOHN(S)b.c.1817 in Hakin, AND ELIZABETH REES b.c.1819 in Burton, were married c.1842 possibly at Pembroke Dock, (first child JAMES born c.1843 at Pembroke Dock. They had five further known children; WILLIAM THOMAS b.c.1844; MARY ANN b.1847; THOMAS b.c.1850; CHARLES FRANCIS b.1852; ELIZABETH b.1856. MARY ANN married ELIJAH LEMON and had ten children. One of these sons, ELIJAH LEMON, married an ALICE ROBERTS in 1892. Another son,JAMES HOWARD LEMON married SARAH ANN WILLIAMS in 1897. I am particularly interested in finding out WILLIAM JOHN(S) senior's date of birth and who his parents were. Thank you for any help.
