Any family info on a Richard Brunsden/Bransden born about 1822. Richard was tried and convicted on the 25th February 1843 at the Oxford Assizes in England and was sentenced to life in Australia. Richard was single at the time of the offence, he was unable to read or write, he was a farm labourer and was a Protestant. He sailed on the ship the “Maitland’ departing from the port at Plymouth on 26th August 1843. Any help to find Richards family roots would be greatly appreciated.

I am trying to find the birth/christening of my grandfather John Cross. He married Margaret Beal (Bale} in 1807 at Minster Lovell and I think they lived there all their lives. Margaret and all their children were born in Minster Lovell and John died and was buried there in 1836 aged 56, so he would have been born around 1780. The only John Cross I can find in Oxfordshire was born/christened at Headington in 1781, but whether this is my, I don't know. Can anybody help please.

After any info on Richard Nutt and his family. he had a daughter, Emma, born about 1823 in Nuneham Courtenay, who married Nathan Bowler on 18th Nov 1847, also in Nuneham. There is a Richard Nutt, aged 82, in Nuneham, on the 1871 census, although I do not know if this is the same man. He is living with his daughter, Elizabeth (52), his grandson, Richard (23) and his granddaughter, Sarah (14). The only actual info that is clearly linked to Emma is his entry on her marriage certificate as a labourer. Any info from the earlier censuses for Nuneham that link Richard and Emma, and thus give me more info on his family, is gratefully accepted. I guess 1841 is the best source based on her birth year. James Tutty was born in Nuneham Courtenay in abt 1844 and had a brother called Charles Kent Tutty who was born in Abingdon abt 1848. Their mother was Sarah Tutty (born abt 1821) and their grandfather was James Tutty (born 1793) who was married to Maria Tutty (nee Stacey)in 1817. Two of James' sisters (Elizabeth and Catherine) are buried in All Saints New Church at Nuneham Courtenay. James Tutty moved to Surrey after marrying Isabella Ann Brookshaw in 1868 and the family still lives there. Further information about the Tutty family from Nuneham Courtenay would be welcome.

My greatgrandmother was a Lovelock who married William Lawrence of Skirmett: after his death in 1899 when my grandfather was 11 years old, he moved with his mother and siblings to live with her family the Lovelocks at Sonning Common. My grandparents married at St John Baptist Church in Kidmore End in 1910.

Richard Baughen was baptised 18 Jan 1784 in South Newington. He was illegitimate and his mother was Mary Baughen. I suspect that she was from Bloxham. So far I haven't found any records to identify her further and no records about the father. Richard became a shag weaver and lived in Banbury. He married Elizabeth Castle in 1804 and had 6 children by her. On her death he married Mary King in 1824 and he died in 1832. Any info on Mary or the upbringing of Richard would be appreciated.
