red mail HUNT/LADSON
My 3G Grandfather was Matthew HUNT who married Ann Mary LADSON 1794 in Wolvercote. They Baptised 3 children in Wolvercote, John 1796, David 1807, Mary 1813. As he was a Millwright the family may well have travelled and baptised other children in different parishes. By 1841 David had moved to Gillingham, Dorset. The most helpful Oxford Family History Society have assisted me thus far. Does anyone have any knowledge of Matthew Hunt and Ann Mary Ladson before marriage in 1794, or know what happened to John and Mary Hunt after their christening

BUTLER, Marion Florence
I'm trying to trace my grandmother for whom I can find no birth certificate. She died in Walthamstow, London, in 1935, aged 52, allegedly. I have her marriage cert. in 1901, aged 23?, to John White, a plasterer, in Walthamstow. Her father was named as Jo(s)(b) Butler, an engine driver, but I cannot find a Joe or Job Butler with a daughter of that name. My mother believed that her mother came from Wolvercote and I think the family spent time there during WWI, presumably with family members, whilst John White was in the army. I believe that Marion Florence Butler may have had Irish/Scottish blood and my mother described her as "high church" i.e. Catholic and as being a cook in service before her marriage.
