On the 1861 Census for St Marys, Littlemore James Clark age 36 was married to Elizabeth ? age 34, they are shown to have had 4 children, Rose A age 11 born in Woodeaton, Oxen, James C age 6, William age 4 Charles P age 2 and Jemima age 8 days, all born in Littlemore Oxen. I 'm not sure where Elizabeth was born although it looks like a place called "Sandford Wet". Can anyone confirm that this place exists and any other info about the family would be useful.

Joseph Ashley and first wife Eliza worked at the Asylum from about 1860. They had children Lydia (later Vickery), Joseph (married Martha) and Eliza Ann (later Herring). Annie Jane (later Pascoe), William Thomas (married Emily), George James (married Emily) and was in Cowley 1901, Henry Bloomfield (married Flora) and Alfred (married Annette) were born to Joseph's second wife Jane. Information on any appreciated.

If anybody has access to Littlemore parish records, I would be grateful if they could give me the baptism/birth details Of Ellen Selina Clarke, born about 1852 to parents Henry and Hannah Clarke. So far my searches on 1837online and FreeBMD have resulted in no match. I realise I can order the microfilms at LDS centres but am already viewing 8 of these for other ancestors in other counties so any help would be appreciated. Cheers Mark

Any info on Henry Clarke welcomed. Earliest info is from 1871 census (married to Hannah, possibly maiden name Duffield, living in nearby Sandford at this time). very interested in any info relating to his parents/ancestors (1841 and 1851 censu info may help)
