red mail Weston on the Green
My Gtt grandfather, Henry Cox born 1850's in Bicester Work House, his mother eventually returned to her village W.O.T.G to marry the village widower and live happily every after as Ann Brain. Until her husband died around 1880 and the whole family splintered. Henry Cox found his way to Liverpool and married local girl Mary Daniels and lived happily ever after. If anyone can embellish on the tail, particularly the transport from an idyllic Oxford village to the bustling city of Liverpool, I'd welcome your advice and similarly share my findings...thanks for reading.
red mail MAY EDITH STONE
May Edith Stone was my Grandads' Birth Mother, he was born in Wandsworth in 1918 and was adopted as a baby. According to his Birth Certificate May was a Book-Keeper at a Hotel in Belmont, Twyford, Berkshire. I think May might have been born in either Radnage,Reading or Maidenhead, but i'm really not sure about that or when she was born!. Unfortunately the "father" column on the Certificate is frustratingly blank! I would love to find out about May and what happened to her, did she get married? did she have more children? Any help with this would be great, thank you.
