Ihave reserched my fmily history back to 1703 to a one Thomas Cartwright who married Catherine Roobothom in 1728 at all st`s church Sutton on Trent. I need to know the name of his parents, can anyone help please.

My gt grandfather's name was Henry Gell - I think he was born abt 1820 - he went to NZ in @1846 as a member of the 65th Regiment of Foot. He was a private and his regimental no. was 2080. He was apparently born in Sutton on Trent - his father's name was Thomas, and according to Henry's death listing could have been an exciseman but the certificate is v hard to read - any help or ideas would be appreciated
