He had married Bridget Clifton in Scalford and produced seven children, Alice,born 1580, William-1582, Michael-1584, Nicholas-1586, Joyce?-1588, Raphe-1591, Mary-1594. The family were in and around Rempstone until the 18th century, marrying into many other local families eg -- Hawkins, Baxter, Boyer, Steel, Morris etc.
