red mail Biggins house
Trying to find the link between Ordsall Hall - built c.1825 and the earlier Biggins House on the same site. Located on the edge of Ordsall, just outside Retford, Notts., Ordsall Hall changed hands several times through the first half of the 20th century having earlier been extensively remodelled by the Firth family (of Sheffield Steel fame). The building is now demolished and a local group is trying to compile a history of the building. Any info much appreciated. Regards Greg
red mail Ordsall Hall
Searching for history of Ordsall Hall, recently demolished building on the same site as Ordsall Hall School, also recently demolished (2007). Particularly keen to receive old photos, documents, etc. from 19th century through to 1970s. Any other information - including family links, recollections, etc would be helpful to group compiling a history of the building. Regards Greg

I am trying to find information about Daniel Bellamy who married Mary Thorpe at sturton cum fenton in 1703. I believe they had two sons richard born in 1706 and Gervais born in 1709.
red mail Littlewoods in 18th Century
I have been given some info regarding a John Littlewood (married to Elizabeth) who had 3 childer (Betty baptised 4/4/1767, William Burnham baptised 17/7/1768 and John baptised 18/3/1770) This suggest he was born in East Markham in 1739 to parents Joshua and Mary. I am not positive about this and wondered if anyone has records of a John Littlewood and maybe Elizabeth (possibly nee Burnham, based on middle childs name) in Ordsall before 1767. Cheers Mark
