red mail Rawson of Lambley
I have traced my ancestry to Roger Rawson baptised April 12, 1755 in Lambley. His parents are shown as John Rawson and Ann. Roger Rawson was "of St Peters" when he married Mary Dann on Dec 5, 1784 at St. Mary's, Nottingham. He died in 1796. He had a brother, Richard, a baker, who died Jan 14, 1846 at Lambley. Roger and Mary had a son, John who married Charlotte Best in 1810 and died in 1823 at Sneinton (my ancestors). John's will mentions a cottage house or tenement with part of a yard and garden adjoining in the occupation of Richard Spibey, a close called Green Lane Head or Hagerham Well Close in tenure of Richard Rawson, baker, and a piece of land called the Watery Meadow, also in tenure of Richard Rawson, baker. Any information on this family or this property would be appreciated.
