I am new to Curious Fox, and am looking forward to getting any information I can get on my family name. My branch of the Coupland family lived in King City, Ontario, Canada since the mid 1800's. I would love information on where they came from in England. I just discovered there is a town of Coupland in Northumberland, England, and even a Coupland castle. Could my family tree possibly have roots back to this area? Does the town of Coupland have a website? Is there a district government office that would have birth/baptismal/death records? Is there a local geneological society that would have records? Thanks for any help.
