I am tracing my Ferguson family back to the 1840s and find Ralph Nichol Ferguson is born in Benton Grange in 1845. Does anyone know what the Grange was at this time and why he may have been born here? His mother was Jane Ferguson nee Nichol and father Edward Ferguson. I am searching for the CARR surname and from the 1851 Census Longbenton,Walker etc., I have Martha CARR aged 28 bn Jarrow married to Nicholas WATSON bn Ryton aged 32. a son George aged 3 is with them. They married at St Johns Newcastle upon Tyne her father is John CARR. I am trying to find her parent's marriage and her date of birth and siblings. Are there any CARR researchers able to hep please? two of Nicholas's sisters become my great grandmothers.
