red mail Mary Spriggs, b. ca. 1803 in Peterborough
I recently broke through a wall in my female line after 3+ years of digging. I managed to find the maiden name of my most recent female ancestor, Mary Spriggs (b: ca. 1803 per census records in Peterborough) and married Francis Egborough (Eggboro, Egborrow, etc.) in 1829. I was elated! But have run into another wall. I cannot find a birth record for her, nor any census records before 1841 (after she was married). I have a "0" (direct) match (mtDNA: H3ac) to a gentleman whose most recent female ancestor is named Nancy Farmer born ca. 1775-1780, thought to be from Northern Wales. I'm at a complete loss as to how to proceed, as I would imagine that it is possible that she was born elsewhere or that her name was spelled differently, etc. If anyone may have information on her family, I would be so grateful. Many thanks in advance for your kind reply.

red mail Warren-Hanson Peterborough Holbeach
Hi - I have a birth certificate for Aldophus Thomas Warren b. 4th Sept. 1851 District Bow/Bromley, Rg. District Poplar Union, County Middlesex. Page 317 His father was Thomas Warren was born in 1811 in Froston Suffolk.. His mother Ann or Annie Warren nee Hanson born Old Cleve, Somerset Abt 1825. Thomas'(b. 1811) trade was Victualler...e.g. he owned an Hotel. Oval Tavern, Oval Rd. Croydon, Surrey. If my theory is right, Anna Hanson was born abt 1825, Asholt, Somerset or...Old Cleve Somerset. I got this off the 1881 Census. I can't find the Marriage of Thomas Warren (b 1811) and Ann or Annie Hanson (b. abt 1825). They had a son born 1850 named Thomas. Then Adolphus Thomas b. 1851. In 1866, they had a daughter Agness Eliza. I believe there may have been another daughter, older than the rest, born around 1848/9 - I can't be sure because of the difficulty in finding the marriage. From a previous request and via 1881 census, I did find that Anna, nee Warren, had married a Henry Emblem This Anna had to be an older child - not listed (perhaps dead)? For 1881 Census, Henry Emblem was in the Warren Household with two grandsons, Henry Thomas Emblem age 9 and Leonard William Emblem age 5. Can someone help me with this marriage? Or can anyone add to the above. Thank you Lucy

The name I have started with is Walter Frederick Warren born 4th Qtr 1901 at Steyning. He married ca 1924 The Tatam name - I am looking for his wife, Lillian Grace Tatam. This lady may have been Irish. She had three sisters who lived in Leicester. She would have been born ca 1901. His son, also Walter Frederick Warren was b 1.7.1927 in Crowland, Lincolnshire.
