my great great grandmother was Jane Chapman daughter of the famous chapman circus owner she married into the Adams family of Kingsthorpe Northampton
Parrot's ,Kingsthorpe.
Thomas and Miriam Parrot lived in Kingsthorpe in the latter half of the 19th century,children included Ada,William ,Sarah Ann ,Minnie,etc.anyone researching this family ?.Sarah Ann(Sallie)married Albert Robert Taylor at Church Gresley in 1908.
If anyone knows anything about Crick Bettle who was born abt 1815/16 (I think in Kingsthorpe, Northampton), I would be very pleased to hear from you. Crick was married to Ann Ager and later married/lived with and had several children by Elizabeth Stedman. One of those children was my grandmother Emily Annie Bettle. Thanks Chris

i am searching for information of any gardners from Turvey, particularly Charles Gardner who married Sussanah Wooding. Charles was born in Kingthorpe in 1767 and Sussanah in Turvey in 1767 they were married in Brize Norton in 1784 and then returned to Turvey where they and their decendants lived until 1900s I would really appreciate any information. Sussanah's mothers name was gaskeons and i can trace that line back to Thomas Gaskeons and Alice Hobbs who were married in Turvey in February 1701

Eliza Ann TURLAND (1815-1890) was the daughter of Thomas TURLAND (1785-1863) and Catherine SOUTHAM (1784-1860). In 1840 Eliza married Joseph LUCAS (1813-1896) of Maidwell. In 1850 Eliza and Joseph with their children Eliza Ann (1844), John William (1846) and Frances Catherine (1848) emigrated to South Australia. After a horrendous voyage which included a complete demasting of their ship in the Southern Ocean, the ship made first port of call in Port Phillip, Victoria, Australia in Feb 1851. Most passengers disembarked and went to Melbourne before the ship "Slains Castle" made its way to Adelaide its original destination port where the ship was declared unseaworthy. Eliza had left an uncle Joseph TURLAND who had married twice. First to Jane CLAY and second to Mary SMITH as well as an aunt Esther who married Richard CUMBERPATCH (1817-?)son of James CUMBERPATCH.

Looking for family connections for my 2 x gt grandmother, Ann Robinson baptised Kingsthorpe in 1823. Daughter of John Robinson who was a land surveyor (deceased by Ann's marriage in 1852 to Charles Bullard in Islington, London) and Ann Coley who married in Kingsthorpe in 1814. Ann had a sister who married a Frenchman, M. Sochay and moved to France. Their mother, Anne Robinson nee Coley (or Cawley) was still alive and living in Northampton in 1870s (Hardingstone) married to John Astell with whom she had two further daughters Ann and Ruth.
