red mail KNAP(P) - Ann(e), William and Daniel
However much I search I can't find further information on this seemingly single parent family in Gretton, Northants. Ann died in 1841 aged 68 - which gave me an approximate birth date of 1773. She was listed as being born in Northants, but I have been through (I think) EVERY parish book in the Northamptonshire library (including Rutland and Huntingdon) and found out nothing more about her. There is no father listed on the birth certificates of her two sons William (born 1805 in Gretton and married to Mary Woodward in Collyweston, Northants) and Daniel born 1801 in Gretton (also married to a Mary). Ann Knapp was given money by the poor society in Gretton, so didn't do too well. I'm starting to think she may have either been married at some point which makes my search even harder, or she wasn't from Northamptonshire at all. Gretton's not too far from Leicestershire. Does anyone have these names in their tree? Or know something however small about them? Thank you Sarah
