Aussie family descended from Samuel Tuck bc 1811 and Emma Leader bc 1818. Went to Aus. 1848 as assisted immigrants with 4 children. In shipping lists Sam says born Ilford, Essex (as are children), parents William & Elizabeth. Emma says born Hilborough, Norfolk, parents John & Mary Ann. There are many Tucks and Leaders in this county, and maybe Sam also came from there, but so far no likely matches. A Reuben Leader was on the same ship. Any info appreciated.

I am trying to trace information about my Great Grandfather George James Houchen born in Horningtoft in around 1872. His parents were (George) James Houchen a Shepherd born in Attleborough and Elizabeth (maiden name unknown). In the 1881 census they lived at number 73 the common in Brisley when my Great Grandad was about 8yrs old. In the 1891 census however James had a new wife, Jane, and they were living at 18 Turnpike Rd. By 1901 George James Houchen (my Great Grandfather)aged about 28yrs had moved to St.Helens, Lanchashire where I live today. In St Helens he worked as an Electric Tram Driver and married Emily Jane Pye (a teacher) in 1903. I am interested in what happened to James' first wife Elizabeth, why George moved to St.Helens and if any of his ancestors still live in Norfolk? Any informtion would be greatly appreciated.

The date of her marriage to John Weedon (occupation coachman, born in Stanmore in about 1830) is unknown, but their first child, William, was born in Chelsea in about 1868. Ann's surname appears as DUNDER on census reports and her children's birth certificates - unfortunately I can find no trace of any family by that name. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello my grandfather was Cyril DOE he was born to Azubah DOE of Illington in 1911 no name of father on birth certificate but on his marriage certificate his father is named as George Frederick DOE. Sarah Burton of Southtown/Yarmouth married Daniel Durrant Scott in 1791. He had been baptised in Norwich (1765) but was resident at Ingham by 1790, variously described as gentleman and farmer. He died in 1823 and there is a memorial plaque in Ingham church. His wife Sarah is not mentioned in his will, and I'm looking for her death. I cannot find Ingham burials online - could anyone check burial records and monumental inscriptions for me, please? Their son Daniel Burton Scott sold the Ingham property in 1829 and moved away, but must still have had links there as someone paid for a matching plaque to him after his death in 1832.

He married Margaret Pycroft born 1681 in Ditchingham, they married on 4 August 1705 in St. Andrew,Norwich. They are buried in the chancel ofKirby Cane church also buried there is Rev. Samuel Baker 20 April 1709 died 10 May 1787, son of Abraham and Margaret. He married Mary Worts born 1707 in Knapton died 5 January 1784 on 17 October 1733 in Hickling. Abraham and Margaret had 7 childrenonly two lived to adult hood, Samuel and his brother Charles born 7 February 1713 died 1793, he was a merchant in Ditchingham and married Catherine Clarke. I would like to find the parents of Abraham and am willing to share the information that I have. Charles's branch of the family lived in Bungay, Suffolk in the 1800's. Abraham was my husbands 6th great-grandfather.

Who can help with information on Elizabeth Bransby (Brunsby) birthplace not known? She was of Quaker faith. She was b abt 1750 ---died 1824, age 74, at Letheringsett. She married John Fox 7.11.1775, L'sett. John Fox thought to have been b at Aylmerton abt 1749,---a bapt there in 1751.--- died L'sett 1832, age 83. Also John's parents---Robert Fox, b abt 1711. possibly Cley. Died L'sett 1804 age 93. John's mother thought to have been Anne Beck, bt 1713 at Acle, and married Robert Fox there 1738.
