red mail Kerrison in Wymondham
My KERRISON ancestors have lived in Wym for many centuries, if one counts the isolated Kerrison entries in the early, (mainly undecipherable) Parish Register, as parts of the same line. I would be delerious with excitement if somebody could throw any light on CULLYER'S YARD in the Town Green area, especially a PHOTOGRAPH. I know that Philip Cullyer had a row of tenements built, seemingly as tenements for the poor (almshouses) after the Great Fire; that they were 2 or 3 roomed hovels; that a plaque is recorded as being displayed over this row; that they were demolished probably in the late 1960s. The KERRISONs lived there 1841 to 1891. I would be surprised if a local historical society did not record them before demolition (as they did for Rattle Row) and that some PHOTOGRAPH was not taken!

red mail Palmer/Morris
I am trying to trace my great-grandmother, who was born in Wymondham in 1844. In the 1881 census, she is living in Wymondham, as Maria Palmer, with her son, William Palmer, (my grandfather), born 1876 Hull, Yorkshire. She is listed as a lodger with a John Morris, born Abergele, North Wales, in 1845, and states that she is married. However, I have never been able to locate the correct birth certificate for my grandfather, so have no idea of her maiden name. By 1891, she is living with John Morris in Lancashire as his wife, Hannah Maria (they never married) and William was by then known as Morris. Any help/suggestions welcome.
