red mail Barkers of West Dereham
I'm looking for the parents of William Barker, who was a gardener at The Abbey, West Dereham in 1841. He was born about 1798 and his birthplace is given variously as Gusen, Little Walsingham and Little Cressingham. His wife Mary Ann was born in West Dereham about 1800 and I would like to know her maiden name. I think they were married about 1818.
red mail Charles Wright born abt 1843
The 1881 census shows my great grandfather charles Wright born abt 1847 in Middlesex but the 1891 census shows 1843 Dereham Norfolk. As he was living in Hornsey and then Tottenham both in Middlesex the Dereham entry is most unusual and makes me think it might be the true birth place. I can find no other information about him, either in earlier censuses or his marriage to Anne Marie (Annie Maria or any other combination!) Morris which must have been between 1871 and 1881. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
