red mail Searching for details of Violet Eleanor Margaret Yarham
My husband's mother was Violet Eleanor Margaret Ratcliffe nee Yarham who died in 1950 aged 44 when he was only 7. His father Alfred Ratcliffe died 4 years later. The only information we have about her family is that at the time of her marriage in 1937 her father was a brewer(deceased).Prior to her marriage in Braintree, Essex, she was working at Greenwood School, Halstead, Essex. Searches have failed to find her birth registration or an entry on 1911 census. It is just a long shot that someone might be able to help. We do not even know if she was born in Norfolk, but Yarhams seem to be prevalent there, so it seemed a good place to start.
