Looking for details of Scott/Rogers/Oatey family, in particular offspring/parents of Jane Scott 1775 - 1848. Widow of John Rogers. Subsequently had a number of other children base born. Some of the family moved out of area to Methwold following possible scandal whereby gamekeeper killed in accident with Scott/Rogers sons. Any details appreciated.

I am researching a line of the Waddelow family and I am interested in tracing a Martha Waddelow born in Southery in 1795. She married a William Colborn, who lived at Tholemas Drove, at Southery church. We believe this may of been William's second marriage. We know they went to live at Walsoken, where several members of the Waddelow family lived, and they raised three children there. I am trying to find out which branch of the Waddelow family Martha desended from.

George was born on 11 November 1777 and died 28 December 1828. Married Philis (aka Ann) Cook on 7 April 1800 most likely in Southery. They had nine children. Any information on George's parents would be much appreciated. I have detail of over 160 Oslers mainly in Southery but cannot get back any further on this line which is my direct descendant.

Charles CATTERMOLE born 1811 in Southery married Ann SAYER in Handsworth, Birmingham, in May 1837 I think his parents were Isaac and Phoebe née Fox, and Isaac was born round about 1778 and remarried aged ca. 70, Mary FARROW in 1849. Isaac gave his birthplace in the 1851 census as Suffolk

John PORTER
We are researching the family of John PORTER, possibly the son of Thomas and Amy PORTER. He married Hannah PLACE, daughter of James PLACE and Mary GROOM, and they had three children. Their son Edward was born in 1801 and married Ann PORTER, daughterof Sarah, in 1824. Edward and Ann had eight children including William, born 1833. He married Amy FOSTER of Guyhirn and moved to Walthamstow. We should be interested to hear from anyone else researching the PORTER family in Southery.
