red mail William Vine and Mary Ann Gould or Morgan
William Vine b.abt.1787, Mary Ann Gould or Morgan b.abt.1795. Married 10 Oct 1815 in St. Andrews Church, Little Snoring, Norfolk. I have not been able to verify their original marriage record. Does anyone know how to obtain this? They migrated to New York, USA about 1835, and resided mostly in Erie County, New York. One daughter, Mary Ann Vine, b.16 Sep 1816 in Norwich, married William Norton Adams 22 Sep 1841 in Alden, Erie County, New York, USA. They went to Wisconsin, then on to California. There were 13 children born to them. We were led to believe there may be a "Chase" family connection with Mary Ann Vine. Jean
red mail Wine and/or Vine
Looking for other family members of William Wine/Vine and Mary Gould married 10 Oct 1815 in Little Snoring. They had 10 children before emigrating to New York. Children were baptised in Little Snoring, Thursford and Hindringham. Looking for siblings/parents or other family members of William and Mary.
red mail Bacon - Little Snoring
Am researching primarily descendants of Mary Bacon b circa 1776, but also Nickalls, Nichols (& variants) Ward, Bushell and English. Would like to find out more about Mary Bacon.
red mail Tuck, Leeder
Samuel Tuck (bc 1811) m. Emma Leeder (bc 1818) approx 1837. 4 children born Romford, Essex. Emigrated to Australia 1848 - on shipping records he says born Ilford, Essex; parents William & Elizabeth. She says born Hilborough, Norfolk, parents John & Mary Ann. Can't find them! No known connection to this village, except the names Tuck, Leeder & Farrow. A Reuben Leeder was on same ship ("Castle Eden"), but connection, if any, not known.
red mail Middleton
Does anyone know of Elizabeth Sarah Middleton born 1831 in Little Snoring. Her father was William, I believe, and she married John Preston of Bale in 1852. I cannot find any mention of her and would be grateful for any information.
red mail Come on all you Little Snoring Families!
I'm surprised not to see any entries here, because this little village is rich in history. Several families have been researched, including my own Tuck and Tuddenham lines, but also the Hall, Bushell, Jackson, Lack, Farrow, Flowerdew, Elsdon, Leeder, Nichols, Massingham, Nobes as well as my own Southgate families. I have a badly-neglected website for the Snoring villages and families, which I intend to update, so watch this space!
