I was evacuated to Clenchwarton on 1st September 1939 and lived there until July 1945. I attended the village school until June 1944. I took the "scholarship" exam, passed it and went to a grammar school in Kings Lynn. Does anyone know if any history has been written about the children evacuated to Clenchwarton ?.
I am seeking any information on the residences of my great grandfather Robert Norman BROWN who died 1880, it was called Victoria House and was in the village of Clenchwarton

My great grandfather William Noah Dove was born in Chieveley, Berkshire in 1841 he married Elinor ? and they had William Noah b1869 Newbury, Albert b1875 Crookham, Beatrice b1877 Crookham and my grandfather Walter Edward b1879 in Nannerch,Flint, Wales. My great grandfather William Noah died in 1905 in Pontefract but I am unable to find any information about other siblings, parents etc.

My grandfarther Robert Brown was born at Clechwarton in 1861 to Robert Brown/e, Robert sen was born at Clenchwarton on 17/Jan/1828 and married Poebe Elizabeth Jarvis at Clenchwarton on the 23/Feb/1856. Robert sen parents were Leonard Brown born 1791who married Elizabeth Norman at Clenchwarton on the 19/Oct/1820. Leonard's parents were Henry Brown born 1760 and Married at Clenchwarton on the 15/Oct/1788. Henry's parents were William and Sarah Brown and this is were I come to a full stop, I haveno dates for these two and I do not have the maiden name for Sarah, if there is anyone out there who can help I will forever be in your debt
