red mail Anyone have Bell's from Burston in their tree ?
I'm looking for Baptism details on Robert Bell who was born on 9 February 1843 at Burston. He married Ann Higglesden at High Halstow in Kent in 1872. His parents may have been Robert Everett & Mary Bell-but I'm not sure. Mary Bell was born in Burston circa 1826, and again if anyone has details of Burston Baptisms I would be grateful for details on this too. Mary's Mother may have been the Hannah Bell who married James Cooper at Burston in 1832, but I'm seeking further confirmation. I have quite a bit of information on the Bell family which I'm happy to share.

red mail Spurling, Palmer, Mayhew, Olden, Alden
William Spurling married Mary Alden (or Olden or similar) & they lived at Burston Hall. Daughter Rebecca married a William Spurling of Worlingworth, SFK at Burston Hall, settling at W'worth and raising many children there. Several died and are buried at St. Mary's church, W'worth. Rebecca & her William Spurling (son of Wlm Spurling & Phyllis Selsby) emigrated to Port Phillip (Melbourne) Australia in 1853 along with the remaining children aboard "Northumbria" and settled at Hawthorn, Victoria. One son, Wlm Spurling, had emigrated to Kilmore, Victoria, Australia with his cousin Leonard Palmer (from NFK) in 1849/50. Wlm & Rebecca and spinster daughter Ellen are buried together at Boroondara Cemetery, Kew, Victoria. Rebecca died aged 104 years. I descend from Rebecca & Wlm's son Selby Jeremiah who married in Western Australia and who died at Roebourne (W.A.)
