Looking for any information about my ggg grandfather Donald McGrigor, born 1778 who I think married Mary Sutherland in 1819, and is buried in Cawdor Churchyard. Also their children Isabell b 1820, Ann b 1822, Donald b 1825 and Mary (birth cert for Mary is Gregor rather than McGregor) b 1827, all in Cawdor. Mary (my gg grandmother) married William Watson in the Free Church, Cawdor in 1854 and moved to Forres.

My gggg grandparents John Sutherland and Margaret Shaw (B. 1755 at Croy and Dalcross) appeared to live at Tom Riach, Croy and Dalcross in the 1790s and 1800s and where several of their children (Isobel, John, Janet, David, Ann) were born. Tom Riach appears to be a large climbing boulder nowadays. I assume there must have been a dwelling place there at some point. Grateful if anyone has any information about this area or family. Laura
