Robert was transported to Australia and has a long dynasty here, but what happened to his wife,children & Sibling? Would be happy to share Australian info if I could only find the Scotland info. am looking for information on Robert James believed to have been born 27/6/1782 at Brylach or Bralack, Endinkillie, Morayshire. Does anyone know where Brylach or Bralack was or is? Any details on Robert James parents? He married Catherine Flanagan in l801 and was transported to Australia in l824 because of theft and was never allowed to leave the Wollongong/Illawarra area. Any help appreciated.

Interested in any information regarding James McKenzie, born 1849 - Ardersier or Burghead, died 26 May 1919 at 71 Forteath St, Burghead. James McKenzie (b1849) first married Helen Hendry who died 26 September 1874, age 24, whilst residing at 24 King St., Burghead. They had a son, James McKenzie, born Burghead, 23 February 1872 - died Plantation, Glasgow, 1917. James McKenzie (b1849) second married Elizabeth Main on 25 September 1876. They had 8 children. Parents of Elizabeth Main were John Main and Mary McPherson, married 30 November 1843. Interested in McKenzie / Hendry / Main - families from Ardersier or Burghead.

Looking for more on the Duncan family James Duncan and Jean (Jane) Johnston/Johnson who were born around 1780 and had at least two children John Gregor Duncan born in Burghead or Hopeman in 1815. Records say Hopeman, he says Burghead in 1871 census. Also his sister Margaret Duncan b. 1817 who married John Inch and had 5 children by him after having had a seemingly illegitimate daughter Margaret Morrison in 1841.

The couple lived at Carrbridge ( Carr-Bridge ) , where William continued to carry out the business of Haulage Contractor . I wonder if any reader is interested in pursuing this family history ?

Duncan MacGillivray, bn 1858 at Duthil, married Janet Ann Campbell. He was the son of William MacGillivray and Elsie Dunbar. Can anyone tell me anymore about them?

Researching McCrimmon. My Great Grandmother was Margaret Clark McCrimmon b.7 Jul 1870 in Ballinlaggan Duthil, Invernesshire. She married William Scoular. She died 27 May 1916 in Edinburgh. Her father was Archibald McCrimmon b.1842 in Skye. He married Elspet Robertson (though 1 record states her name was Sinclair). He died 22 Dec 1907, in Duthil, Invernesshire. Archibald's father was Peter McCrimmon, married to Margaret Morrison. (again 1 record states her name was Sinclair). Does anyone out there share this lineage? Many thanks.

Hi I am seeking information on Thomas Hulse's Father Henry William Hulse. He married Mary Grant (father John) in 31/8/1857 in Duthil a widower with place of residence listed as Burton on Trent. Their son, Thomas was born in 1/12/1858 at Lochgorm. Henry is not showing on the 1861 Census, Mary is living with her parents and son. Any info would be much appreciated as I'm stumped with him

Alshur tulloch is mentioned three times on marriage certificates - 1634 -1636 -1651.I have the names of his children who are direct descendants but cannot find anymore info on him. It is believed he came from dyke-findhorn area but could be anywhere between inverness and dyke as he moved around.

My g.g. grandfather, David Kydd (1821 - ) and his family were shown in the 1861 Census at Feddan, Dyke, Moray, Scotland. By the 1871 Census, his wife, Rose Christiana Forbes (1829 - 1902) was living alone at Fload House, Creich, Bonar, Moray, Scotland. She was shown as being the Head of the household and a "farmer of 160 acres of arable land, employing 3 labourers and a boy". I have been unable to ascertain where David was after 1861 and when he died. If anyone has any information I'd love to hear from them. I have information on the descendants of David Kydd and Rose Forbes.

George INCH was born in Edinkillie in January, 1852 and was the son of William INCH and Elizabeth HARDIE. I think he was a carpenter living in Battersea in 1881 and was still alive in 1908 according to his father's obituary. Although I have traced his six siblings, one of whom was my great grandmother, I have been unable to find George after 1881 and would be grateful for any information. Thanks, Shona

Looking for info on a John Main who married an Isabella Grant They had children Ann, William (who married Jessie Wright), John (who married Hannah Fairlie), and David (who married Marjory Kemp) I believe his parents to be John Main & Jane Masson. I have a DOB of 15th Dec 1839, but I do not think this can be correct as his children were being born barely 10 years later ! Robert Urquhart( 1874 - 1942 ) and his wife Margaret ( Maggie ) Urquhart nee Stuart / Stewart ( 1875 -1946 ) ...... The couple lived at Ordiquish , in their later years. Robert died there 23 March 1942,aged 68 years. His widow went to live with their daughter 'Nan'( Margaret Jane Annabella Urquhart ) at Carnoustie , in the county of Angus. Maggie Urquhart died at Carnoustie , 03 March 1946 , aged 70 years. Robert and Maggie are buried in Bellie Churchyard , near Fochabers.
