In 1891 they were living as a family above Alfred Temple's Watchmakers shop at 30 Churton Street, Pimlico.By 1893 they had all gone and not until 1901 could I find them. Alfred was living in Chelsea workhouse.Sarah, his wife was working as a servant in Bermondsey. The two younger children were living in Ashford school, a charity school in Middlesex. Elizabeth Harvey MOULD - (Belgravia - Middlesex)
Elizabeth, b. 1867 Stone, Staffs. d. 1st January 1920 at 1 Graham Street SW1 (now 1 Graham Terrace SW1W 8JE) was my paternal grandmother and a domestic servant/housekeeper. She had three children viz. Catherine Anne (1891 - 1947), Elsie Irene (1892 - 1972) and Stanley Harvey Tomlinson (1900 - 1952) my father - notwithstanding that she was never married. She was the housekeeper for Thomas Hides TOMLINSON (1852 - 1932) from approximately 1890 to 1907. Thomas was Land Agent to the Duke of Northumberland in the late 19th century. The purpose of this entry is to try to ascertain where Elizabeth is buried. Following research, NO EVIDENCE has been found that Elizabeth was buried near her birthplace in Staffordshire or in Lancashire where two sisters lived. The owner of 1 Graham Street at the time was Anne Clara Georgina WILSON (no relation to Elizabeth) who herself passed away on 10th September 1923. In her will she expressed the wish that her funeral service be conducted at the nearby church of St Mary, Graham Street. It is possible that similar arrangements were made for Elizabeth in 1920 and, if evidence emerges to this effect (a recent enquiry to St Mary's elicited no response), some light may cast on where Elizabeth may be buried. Can anyone tell me more about Elizabeth Harvey Mould in 1918 to 1920?
