They were residing in St Lukes parish Clerkenwell, Middlesex at this time. I am trying to identify my great grandfather, James Bingham and his family. My grandfather was Edward Bingham, b 1876 in Clerkenwell Middlesex St Lukes parish and his parents were James Bingham born St. Lukes and Eliza Ward. In the 1851 Middlesex, London Census there is a Bingham family living at 136 Reform Place, head of family Maurice Bingham, born in Ireland, wife Brigettt, and children James, Mary and Bridget. My grandfather was Edward Bingham, born 1876, in Clerkenwell, Middlesex, London. His birth certificate states his father as James and mother Eliza nee Ward. I have no information at all on James or Eliza. Just wondering if there is any relationship here? My 2nd. Great grandfather Thomas Powell was a chemist and manufactured a potion to cure almost anything. This was from 1825 to 1900. He lived in south London - Blackfriers Way where the business thrived. I am looking for any information on the family - my G Grand father Edward, Thomas' son came to Australia in 1849. More specially I am looking for a bottle - probably empty of the this magical balsam. It is a 3 sided special glass casting with Powell's Balsam on the side. I am aware that there are some out there I just need to find one to buy. Any help on history and or the bottle would be welcome.

I am after any information on the family of Henry Doran born 1797 or 1798; I believe he was from the Middlesex area. Henry Doran was found guilty of theft in 1820 and transported to Australia the same year aboard the convict ship Agamemnon. He remained in Australia, married Sarah Graham in 1829 and had 4 children. He died in Sydney in 1850. I have been able to trace my lineage back to Henry but am unable to find out anything more about his life (before he was a naughty boy) and family in England. Any information on his parents or siblings (if any) would be greatly appreciated. Hopefully someone else has done the hard work for me?

I am trying to find out info on my GG Granfather Thomas Frederick Childs (b 1824) and his wife Elizabeth J ? (also born 1824) Fred was a Formean Caulker in 1896. On the 1881 census it states they had 4 children including my G Grandad Edward Walter Childs ( b1872/3 Poplar) in 1921 he was an Engineer. He was married on 23/03/1896 to Jessie Agnes Neale (neal) (b1878/1879 and died in Labour 01/04/1910 at the Union Workhouse Leyton.) They had 3 children, Jessie (1899) Albert (1903) and my Grandfather Thomas Henry Childs (b08/08/1897 and D 23/03/1963 in Boscombe). Jessie Agnes Neale's parents were Henry and Mary Ann Neale. In 1896 Henry Neale was a Blacksmith.

Seeking the ancestors of Nathaniel William Birch or Burch, born about 1799, was a rope maker in Shoreditch and died around 1840 in Bethnal Green. I have found the census entry of James Birch his brother, married to Catherine, I believe a year or 2 younger, also a rope maker, but I can find no reference to Nathaniel William ( he was normally known as William I think). His 2 children were with James for about a year then went to Bethnal green workhouse.

Looking for information on Thomas Palmer who married Sarah Woolley 17/3/1850 - both lived at Potters Bar. They were of full age when they married - but I believe Sarah born about 1829-30 Thomas was a bricklayer and his father was also Thomas a carpenter.
