red mail ALDERMAN William Gilbert
I am hoping someone can help me. My Grandfather William Gilbert Alderman committed suicide in 23rd May 1927 at the Finsbury Park Railway Station. My father was placed into an orphanage. I have since found out from the orphanage, that there was a newspaper article about the suicide. I am hoping someone may be able to suggest how I can find out which newspaper it would of been in and if it is possible to obtain a copy of it. I know this is probably not possible, but would appreciate anyone's help. Thank you
red mail Joyce West nee Priest
I would like to contact my cousin, Joyce. Her maiden name was Joyce Priest. She married Joseph West in the 1950s and they had two children Barbara and Linda. Joyce's parents were Albert and Florence Priest. They ran the pub called The Kings Head at Wynchmore Hill. Joyce and Joe lived in Palmers Green.
red mail Marsh Family
I am trying to find any information about the Marsh family that lived in Farndale Ave, Palmers Green in the 1940's 50's 60's. Dick Marsh (as he was known) was married to Ethel (nee Bates). They had two daughters June and Pat. They moved from Palmers Green around 1970 and went to live on the south coast, possibly Bournemouth. One of the daughters died of cancer when she was about 21. Ethel worked for the BBC. Does anyone know of them? Or any descendants, I would love to hear from you.
red mail Arnold family
I am interested in the Arnold family of the Palmers Green area of Middlesex. They mainly resided in Tile Kiln Lane during the mid 1800s. I would appreciate anyone who can shed some light on this family.
Pocock Family
My grandparents John Montagu (Monty)and Edith Pocock lived all their married lives at New River Crescent, where their three children Derrick, Grace and Betty were born. Derrick died young, accidentally drowned in the New River, but Grace and Betty attended Hazelwood School and were both married at St Johns Church, Palmers Green in 1931 and 1937. Grace to Wesley Coleman and Betty to Reginald Pryor. If anyone remembers this family I would love to hear from them.
