I am looking for any information regarding the family of a John Hamerton, born c1809, possibly in the London area. He married a Charlotte Emily Ovenden on 21st Feb 1829 in Holborn. While I have garnered some information regarding Charlottes family, John is a complete mystery, so anything that may shed light on his parents, or siblings, would be very welcome.
Ovenden family
George Robert Ovenden lived at Thanet House, Roseberry Place, Hackney, and possessed many houses in that area and in his native Kent. He died in 1860, soon after which the family homes and all his other houses were presumably sold. His widow Jane left £36 in her will in 1888. I would be grateful for any information on Thanet House or the Ovenden family. George and Jane had 4 sons, George, Philip, William and Christopher. The latter two went (or were sent) to Australia in the early 1860s, not long after their father's death. I am trying to find out how the family lost all its property.

I am trying to find my mother's uncle. He was Henry J. P. Robinson, born 1870. He worked as a printer and stationer and in 1901 he was still living at home with his family at 45 Kyverdale Road. The family later moved to Moresby Road after 1906. I haven't yet found any evidence that Henry married or if he remained at home. His father, Henry senior, died in 1906, and so he might have continued to live with his mother and other family members to support them. I don't yet know when he died. He had a younger brother, Frank C. Robinson, who did marry and have a family, but also I don't know where he then lived or when he died. Help please.

I'm eager to contact any relatives of BARNETT & HILDA MABEL STONE who during the 1950's lived in Hackney, London E.9. Hilda Mabel Stone's death certificate states she was 36-yrs old when she passed away on 3rd February 1953 in Bethnal Green Hospitaland her husband Barnett was a taxi driver. It's possible Barnett & Hilda may be my uncle & aunt. So I'd appreciate hearing from anyone who may be able to give me further information on this couple.

Hilda - was this your mothers name? Was she only in her 30's when she passed away and was it in the early 1950's ? If any of this sounds familiar or you know of someone who may be related to Hilda I'd like to hear from you. Hilda was buried in AbneyPark cemetery and she left behind two young children - my cousins not seen in over 50-years. Hilda was the illegitimate daughter of WILLIAM COLES, her mothers name and childrens names are unknown as is her husbands name. Consequently tracing these people is very difficult. Hilda had three half-siblings. Nell who lived in Tottenham, Jessie in Aldershot and Rene in Amersham. During the 1950's Hilda's father lived in Wightman Road, Haringey and Dowsett Road, Tottenham. Any information would be greatly appreciated. My cousins are the missing branch of a family tree and have other cousins eager to make their aquaintance.
