red mail Arnold family
Searching for any Arnolds from Edmonton before 1910
Recently discovered a newspaper obituary relating to my gtx2 grandfather Lewis Crossley (b:1862 Islington). It states that he was knocked down by a motorbike/killed in 1938 (aged 75) while visiting a sick uncle in Edmonton, Essex. While crossing the road to get to the hospital the accident happened. His uncle was C. Sorrell, J.P. aged 50 years living in Montague Road. If anyone recognises any names, please get in touch. I do not know of any Sorrells in my family, but I have found out that Lewis' father had two wives (I presume not at the same time!) so there was possibly a divorce/remarriage for him to have the Sorrell name as an uncle. Confused....? So am I!!
