Kathleen Louise Wood formerly Scurr was not married to Henry Wood. She had left a husband so we do not know if her name was Scurr as her maiden name or married name. After she died in 1911 we have been unable to find her parents or former husband. Does anyone know who she was? She was my mother in laws mother!! She died in Greenwich Hospital of consumption and left 4 children One 12yrs old Harold Wood or Scurr, Kathleen8 (mother in law) Jessica6, Who we have now also found in the 1911 census but then lost the trail again.Arthur 5.We traced to Tasmania. Kathleen & Arthur went to Barnardos and Jessica was adopted? ANYONE out there who knows who she is? Please contact me

Address: Grosvenor House, Kensington Green then moved to 170, Brompton Road, Kensington, around 1861. He died 1871 and his widow Fanny married William Penney Bramwell in December 1873, having already had Blanche Constance Bramwell in November 1873. William Penney Bramwell had also sired three illegitimate children by Elizabeth Buxton, Elizabeth Bramwell 1846 Holborn, William Charles Bramwell 1848 Holborn and Charlotte Bramwell 1850 Newington, Surrey, christened in Holborn like the other two. List of descendants of Alfred is under 'Westminster'. Alfred Josias Rogers was one of 11 children born to James Rogers 1769 Crediton -1842 and Mary (Jane) nee Burden daughter of James Burden and Jane. 1.John Elston Rogers 1795 who married Hannah Dresser and had many children, notably a son called Edward Dresser Rogers who married Sarah Edgcomb and had Edward Phippard George Rogers etc., and a daughter Mary Ann Rogers who married Peter Wager and had Jasper Elston Wager and sisters. 2. James Burden Rogers 1797 who died in 1836,, 3 Richard Rogers who married Eliza Mary Brandon, and had several children, the first being Eliza Brandon Rogers (nothing known) and another one of whom, Frances Ogilvie (female), went to Australia and had several children under the name of Hawley, 4. Jane Susannah Rogers who married Edward Willmer a newsaper exporter and editor, having links in US, daughter Susan Elizabeth having married a GIllibrand 5. Longdon Mackmurdo Rogers 1804 who married Harriet Smith Willmer daughter of Edward above by his first wife Jane Smith. Longdon had 9 children some of whom were born in New York while he worked for Edward above and one, Charles Knight Rogers, who had clever sons Herbert Malcolm Rogers and Eric Malcolm Rogers, 6. Francis Rogers 1806 who married Emily Campbell Moss and had 9 children, all named Campbell Rogers as were most of their descendants, and they lived in India for some time, Emily returning to Devon via Jersey. 7. Frederick Rogers 1808 married Eliza Cook, both deaf and dumb though having 9 children, one daughter called Anne Rogers who married William Barnard and had Annie Barnard 8. Susannah Mary Rogers, 9. Mary Rogers 1812 married Joseph Saunders 10. Alfred Josias Rogers born 1814 at Grosvenor House (my ancestor) as above and 11. Ann Dresser Rogers. who married Tito Delacourt. James Rogers was born at Crediton in 1769 to Susannah Rogers and James Buller 1740 - 1772. Many descendants from above eleven children are available.Thanks for reading and good luck!

Looking for any descendants of the Borton family who lived at 18 Gilston Road, Brompton. Francis Borton died in 1859 aged 50 and left a wife Georgina (nee Betts) and 2 daughters Georgina Alice and Jane Isabella. Jane married the Rev Fredrick Anderson who was vicar of Ovingdean in Sussex, she died in 1892 but I cannot find any trace of Georgina. Can anyone please help.
Looking for descendents of George Golding and Ann nee Arnold. George was a post chaise driver and also coachman and had a business in Sloane Street Chelsea in the early 1800s. He died before 1841. Their children were Henry 1801, Caroline 1805, Harriet 1810, Selina 1812 George 1816 and Charlotte 1821. Henry married Eliza Knight in Chelsea in 1821, Henry was also a coachman Harriet married George Croft also a coachman in 1824 at St James Westminster and George married Eleanor Shaw 1837 also St James Westminster. My several time great grandmother,Elizabeth Johnston,was the daughter of Robert Johnston.She had an illegitimate son,Charles,to Charles Coote of Bellamont Forest,Cootehill,Ireland.She discovered that her "husband"was already married & died of a broken heart 1784.Elizabeth is buried at St Mary Abbots,Kensington.I visited in 1997.Her father must have died shortly beforehand because I have a photo of her wearing a mourning band on her wrist,just before she died.
