DOCWRA FAMILY
Has anyone come across this surname in their family tree that came from either Royston,Buntingford or Alperton. I have a birth cewrtificate of Ann Docwra born 1845 that shows all villages, she was the daughter of William Docwra and Ann Docwra nee Duhig and is show as a servant, which, from what l can see from research seems to be unusual as the Docwra's all seemed to have be wealthy families. William is shown as a Greenwich Pensioner, what does that mean please? Did he come from Greenwich in London to retire in the country i wonder. Any help most appreciated thanks maureen
