I am looking for information about my fathers relations in Acton London. His Aunt Johanna (Hannie) Spillane from Coutny Kerry in Ireland married a John O'Connor from Ireland and had three sons Tom, Terence and Kevin O'Connor. They lived in The Bye Acton.
I am seeking information relating to a Thomas Slater born between 1930 and 1933. I assume around the Middlesex area. Looking to identify location of grocery store pictured in old photo I have. On top of entrance is the name Harry Dawbarn --Tea Provisioner and Grocer 1881 Census info shows a Harry Dawbarn b.1855 living on Churchfield Rd. in Acton and occupation is listed as Tea Dealer. Does anybody know anything about this grocery store? Both my great grandfather (David Turner) and great-great grandfather (Eli Turner) were grocers but I don't know how this photo came into their possession and if they ever were owners or worked at the Dawbarn grocery store. Any leads most appreciated. Photo is over 100 years old. The Turners lived in the Kensington and Fulham areas.

I have the census for Charles Evans Brooks for 1861, 1871, 1881, & 1901. He was born abt 1832 according to the 1861 census in Clarkenwall, London, Middlesex. He died in 1904, was married to Emma Clayton in 1852 and the children were Charles Henry (b:1863+/-1yr in), and Mary (b:1866+/-1yr). He worked as a warehouseman his entire working life, the 1901 census lists him as Caretaker/Warehouseman at "Sheffield Iron Works, Effingham". I am trying to close the loop on the 1891 census, it is nowhere to be found, does anyone have info on it. Decendants of Charles Evans Brooks are: Charles Henry married Mary Ann in 1886; Mary died in 1891, their children were Mary E (b:abt 1886), Charles H (b:1890 d:1891), he remarried Emma in 1894 and had issue of George Henry (b:1896); George Henry married Elizabeth (Sizzie) Lowe in 1918 @ Wartley, West Riding Yorkshire, children were Leslie (b:1918 d:1977), Mary, & Harry (b:1922).

My great-aunt, Susan Phillips is shown on the 1901 Census as a Domestic Servant in the household of Herbert M Marshall of Westminster, an artist & sculptor. She is known to be living in Acton in 1926 but nothing is known since. It is believed she never married. She was born in Broughton, Hunts in 1861. Any information would be welcome.

I have a 1929 address in Acton for Emma PARKER nee Partridge, of St Osyth House, 60 Churchfield Road, Acton. The Parkers do not appear to be there in the 1901 Census. Does anyone know where they were then, or what became of them, or even the children's names? Emma was born in St Osyth Essex in approx 1841 and married a Parker (William?) in the 1860s.
