red mail Richard & Jane Griffith
Richard Griffith was a weaver and his wife Jane was a daughter of Lewis David. Jane's sister Ellin was married to Edward Ellis. Am wondering if perhaps this Richard Griffith was the son & Richard & Jane Griffith of Deunant, parish Llanymawddwy. Richard Griffith Sr. was born Feb. 17 1750 to Mary (Richard) and Griffith Jones. Mary died 1795 at Deunant and Griffith died 1753 at Deunant.
Willam Williams of llanegryn
Im trying to help a friend. She has three generations of her family where there only appears to be one child in each generation. Given that this would be very unusual for the 1700s and 1800s, we think we need a little help in our research. Griffith Arthur Williams was born in Llanegryn in1847 and died in 1910 at Barmouth. He married Mary Griffiths from Dolgellau in 1887. Mary ws born in 1869. Griffith's father was William Williams, a tailor. He was born in Llanegryn in 1820 and died in Dolgellau workhouse in 1891. He married Catherine Pughe in 1847. She was also from Llanegryn. William's father was also called Griffith. I do not have a date of birth but he married Catherine Evans in 1838. Catherine was born in 1809 was around 15 when she had William. None of these three Williams men seem to have any siblings. If anyone can help, we would appreciate it. Thank you.
