red mail The Hanleys of Foxford
I am searching for the roots of my maternal grandparents, James and Dora Hanley, who left Ireland to live in Liverpool; at the time of the 1911 census, they were shown living in liverpool and with four (one deceased) children. Their place of origin was given as Ballygar, Co.Roscommon; son James, Ballygar; son Gerald, Longford; John and Mary Josephine (my mother, known as May)both born Liverpool. A first cousin, recently located, thought James and Dora were from Foxford. Also in the family burial plot is an Ellen Gaffey, died 1919. Do you recognise any of these names? If you do, I'd love to hear from you.

red mail The Rev. James Taaffe Finn
Chaplain of Industrial Convent until 11/1897 when he resigned his curacy and seceded from the Roman Catholic Church. He then did a course of study at Divinity School of Trinity College, Dublin and hoped to be recognised by the Protestant Archbishopof Dublin. He was also curate of Collooney and Kilmavee. This is all I know about James and would be grateful for any other information.
