Patrick Grant, probably born Co. Mayo, 1823. In 1841 he appears in Northleach, Glos. givng occuation as a Hawker. I have his life events from then on. I would like to obtain information about his birth place/parents etc in Ireland. His father may have been Edward Grant, occupation Stonemason.

Margaret Gaffney born 1833, Castlebar. In the 1851 census she had moved the England and is mentioned as a servant in the household of Henry Holyoake, Ashton under Lyne, Lancs She married in 1853, Patrick Grant in Moorfields, London. From 1853 onwards I have her life events. What I am missing are details when she was born/lived in Castlebar. All I have is that her father was possibly James and he was a Stonemason. Any information will assist with completing her narrative.

I have traced my husband's family to Castlebar, Co Mayo. His g.grandparents Hanora McLoughlin & John Walsh married in Castlebar around 1872. They emigrated to Brisbane, Australia in 1901 with their nine children. I'm looking for any information on the family. Does anyone have any information about my great grandfather John Joseph Brogan and his family who I believe came from the Castlebar area. He was born in 1872 or 1873 and moved to England, settling in Rotherham, South Yorkshire (appearing on the census here in 1901). He married Ellen Duffy and had children Mary, Agnes, John and Patrick.
