red mail STANFORD family
Hi! I'm looking for the STANFORD family, resident in Messingham in the early 1800s. My ancestor Samuel Stanford was transported to Van Dieman's Land (now Tasmania) in 1837. His convict records gave his "native place" as both Little and Great Messingham and said his wife's name was Elizabeth. At this time he had, according to those records, three and four children. One of these children, another Samuel, was also transported to Van Dieman's Land in 1850. Does anyone have any information on Elizabeth or the other children he had? Many thanks, Andrea
