Newspaper Coroners reports.
My G/G/Grandfather Edward Randell committed Suicide in long Sutton Linc's 4/3/1858 I have searched British Newspaper Archives to find a Coroners report into the circumstances of his death. Any idea which Newspaper it would have been reported in,if at all I have Death Certificate.which just states.Temporary insanity.
Asylum pre 1852
St Johns Asylum was opened in 1852. Pre that date,which County Asylum would have served residents of Long Sutton ?
My 1st cousin 2x removed, Bertha BARNABY (1874-1916), married George Henry SAMMONS of Long Sutton Lincolnshire. They had at least 3 children - Alfred Ernest (b.c.1902), Ethel (b.c.1908) and Bertha (b.c.1910). In 1911 they were living in Long Sutton. Does anyone have any more recent information about the SAMMONS family? Thank you.

My G/G/Grandmother Elizabeth Randell ( nee Saunders ) lived in Long Sutton in the 1850's. Any descendants have any information as to when she died. Cannot find any record of it.

I am researching the family of Benjamin and Mary (nee Chapman) Ewen of Long Sutton. I believe Benjamin was the youngest child of John and Ann/Anna (nee Fant) and was born in 1775. He had a family of sixteen children, (twelve survived to adulthood), and was a farmer. One child Henry (along with two or three of his sons ) was a doctor in the area. My ancestor Charles came to New Zealand with two other brothers. I would like to make contact with other descendants and see if I can find out more about their lives and perhaps take the family tree back further or expand it. I would also like to explore the Chapman and Fant families.

Im trying to find information on Betsy Walker born in 1848 in long sutton and her husband William Ashling born 1844 when they married in 1868 William was sailor. I believe they had 2 daughters Rachel and Amelia. Amelia is 9 months on the 1871 census and both now have their mothers maiden name. I cannot find any further information on William Ashling. Betsy later marries John Reed in 1879. Can anyone help?

I am looking for information on John Harwood born c1857 in Long Sutton (sometimes spelled Horwood) Who married Charlotte Smith born c 1858 in Sutterton. Their marriage was registered in Holbeach in 1880, they had a daughter Charlotte born c1880 in Long Sutton. On the 1881 census the family lived at Bridge Road, Sutton St. Mary. I can't find any trace of this family after 1881, I presume they emigrated. Any information as to what happened to them appreciated.

My ggg grandparents Thomas and Sarah ASKEW ran the pub from before 1851 census. John died in about 1863 and Sarah continued to run the pub until after 1871 Census. I found reference to Pheobe Deanes and John Askew running the pub in 1881 Census. This is Thomas's son born 1846 and his wife Pheobe born 1837. Don't know if it is still there. I think he married Elizabeth Mapleton from Hertfordshire, who died in 1837, while he lived until 1842. I have a solicitor's account for the sale of "house and land in Long Sutton". Hi Looking for information on the Ream family of Long Sutton, Lincolnshire. I have a William Ream and Betsy Wroot married in Long Sutton in 1811 and they have eight children. I am looking for information about my ancestor Benjamin Johnson. He lived in Long Sutton (Sutton ST Mary) at the time of his marriage in 1838 (to Sarah Morris of Fleet), his father is named as Benjamin Johnson, shoemaker. On the 1861 census Benjamin is living in Fleet, Lincolnshire and is stated as having been born 1803, Well, Norfolk. I suspect this is not Wells-next-Sea but Upwell or Outwell. Any information on either Benjamin Johnson would be appreciated. I can trace Benjamin and Sarah from the 1861 census onwards, but apart from the marriage certificate have no information on either Benjamin previous to the 1861 census
