Shipton and associated families
The Shipton family lived (lives?) in Helpringham for many years. John Shipton b c 1756 is my current "first in the tree" and I would like to go back further if possible. Does anyone have the baptism date for him please? Also, his son Thomas (b c 1808) married Elizabeth and we are not sure if this is Elizabeth Thornhill or not. Were there two Thomas Shiptons? My Great Grandmother Lizzie Shipton b 1866 moved out of Helpringham and went via various jobs to settle in Eccles where she married Robert George. Thanks in advance - Terry
