I have my WILSON family tree back to 1753.Thomas Wilson marries Mary Graves at Tealby 3rd July 1753.They settle in Bishop Norton.Had 13children.Vickers,Kennel,Brewer,Wooton,Medley,Robinson are surnames connected with this family.Also the place name Searby.Later the names Binbrooke,Heapham,Sixhills(Smith) and Donington on Bain are connected.Moses my gr.gr.grandfather was Innkeeper of the Black Horse Inn,Donington on Bain 1847-1852 when he and 2 of his children died of a "fever".His wife Sophia(nee Enderby)married again(Joseph Blades)and again Thomas Ailsby and stayed at the Inn.Her four sons and a daughter from first marriage later emigrated to New Zealand.Sophia became destitute after her marriage to Ailsby and had to live with her daughter.

I am searching for John Wilson, b Doningtonon Bain 1857 and married Elizabeth Gilpin 1881. I have details of John Wilson in Bradford up to 1905/6 living in Parry Lane Bradford but nothing after that.

John Wilson was born in Donington in 1857. He had brothers Henry b1859 and Edward b1862 nd sister Mary b1865. He married Elizabeth Gilpin in Donington Church in 1881. They moved to Bradford in Yorkshire but sometime between 1895 and and 1901 he left his family and was not seen again. He was my great grandfather. He was not listed in the 1901 census. I am trying to find out when and where he died.

Charles and Jane Darnell (nee Turner) married in 1827, and with their children, Mary, William, Charles, George, John and Ellen (or Eleanor) lived in Donington on Bain until approx 1851, Charles was a Cordwainer. Charles died in 1847 but I haven't been able to find a record of Jane's death, she appeared on the 1851 census as a pauper, but she is not in the one for 1861. Chalres' mother Louisa, a widow since 1805 remarried in 1836 ? to a Thomas Croft, she died in 1850, but does anyone know what Louisa was doing between 1805 and 1836? Information regarding any members of Darnell family appreciated.

I'm looking for any information re: the Lewis family of Donnington-on-Bain, Linc. Thomas Lewis married Unknown Scythe. Their son John Lewis, b. Nov. 9, 1814 married Elizabeth Ada (Kautz??)in 1843. She was b. May 22, 1824. Both died in Lebanon, Kansas USA. John & Eliz. are my 2nd great-grandparents. Thank you!!
