Thomas Weedon married Catherine Charlotte Manthorpe in 1890 in Caistor. Catherine was born 1871 in Gorleston. I can find Catherine in 1891 census, but no further record of Thomas Weedon. Hoping someone can track him down for me.

Looking for origin of Catherine Hurst, who married Thomas Walton in 1849 in Caistor, Greater Grimsby. Her father is John (marriage certificate) but we cannot trace her birth, censuses all suggest she was local. She was my GGGrandmother and she died we think in 1891. Can anyone help?

I AM INTERSTED IN CONTACTING anyone who thinks they may be descendents of ISAAC FORMAN.My dad is derek edmund.fisher born in acomb near york in july 1937,formerly known as forman and his birth parents were isaac forman from caistor and elsie fisher....isaac died in york in 1938 aged 44 and derek was adopted by frank and florence fisher,they lived in york.derek married mary egan from ireland and they lived in york all their married life and had 8 children and 31 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.mary died in march 2007 age 64. derek now lives in sheltered apartment in heworth york.any information on our family past would be welcome.

I am Chair of Caistor Community History. We set the group up in 2005 to collect together stories, photographs, letterheads, family details, artefacts etc. about Caistor. We would appreciate copies or photographs of precious items. Any collected items will be shared with the community. The group meet once a month to gather together information and discuss various aspects of Caistor. We are also happy to receive requests for help. Responses will depend upon how complicated the request is, time and manpower but we will do our best. Subjects to be discussed in 2006 / 2007 include the Market Place, Caistor Hospital, Mills. We`are also hoping to walk some of the Caistor Canal.

An ancestor of mine named John Bristo Culley Madge died in Caistor in 1958. He qualified as a doctor from Edinburgh university in 1924 after service as a pilot in the RFC during WWI. He left a widow Gladys. No idea if he had any children but would like to know.

I have details of a Robert Baker who was born at Caistor about 1855. His marriage is registered the second quarter of 1875.
